This wording is pending professional legal review. It describes how the platform operates and is not legal advice.

In plain English: Use the Service honestly and safely. If something goes wrong we start with a correction, escalate only when needed, and you can always appeal.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Share an account in a way that breaches membership rules, or bypass single-session controls.
  • Attack, probe or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access another family's data.
  • Scrape or automate access to private or authenticated areas, or circumvent access restrictions.
  • Impersonate another person, provider or organisation, or misrepresent an affiliation.
  • Commit fraud or payment abuse, misuse coupons or invite codes, or distribute spam or malware.
  • Post false or misleading information, including fake reviews or unverifiable claims about a provider.
  • Infringe copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights.
  • Post illegal content, harassment, threats, hate content, or anything that sexualises or endangers a child.
  • Breach child-safety rules or attempt to bypass child-safety controls.
  • Use the Service for unapproved commercial promotion, lead generation or bulk advertising.
  • Misuse AI tools, including generating harmful, deceptive, unsafe or infringing content.

Enforcement levels

  1. Correction required โ€” we ask you to fix or remove content; access is unaffected.
  2. Policy breach โ€” content is removed or a feature is restricted for a period.
  3. Serious trust and safety breach โ€” immediate suspension, and termination where the conduct is severe, unlawful or repeated.

We consider severity, intent, impact on children, and history. Repeated breaches at any level escalate to the next.

Appeals

You may appeal any enforcement decision within 14 days of being notified, using the appeal option shown with the decision. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the original decision-maker where practical. Possible outcomes: reinstated, reinstated with restrictions, or upheld. We tell you the outcome and the reason. This is the single appeal process referred to by every other Curriculum Compass policy.

Legal obligations

We may report unlawful content to the relevant authority, and we act on valid legal requests. Limitation of liability is set out in the Terms of Use.
