In plain English: Be respectful, keep children safe, post honestly, and remember that meet-ups are organised by other families โ not by us.
These guidelines apply to community posts, Nearby listings, groups, reviews and any parent-to-parent feature. They sit alongside the Acceptable Use Policy, which lists prohibited conduct and the enforcement and appeal process in full.
Respect and safety
- Treat other families with respect. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate content or discrimination.
- Never post content that sexualises, endangers or grooms a child, and never share another family's child details.
- No doxxing, no sharing private contact details without consent, and no unsafe meet-up behaviour.
Honest, useful content
- No spam, bulk posting, scams or misleading claims.
- No false information, fake reviews or unverifiable claims about a provider or curriculum.
- No impersonation of a person, provider, organisation or Curriculum Compass staff.
- No commercial misuse: paid promotion, affiliate spam or lead generation are not permitted unless we have approved the arrangement in writing.
- Do not post copyrighted material you do not have the right to share. See the Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.
- Nothing illegal.
Independent activities
Activities, groups and meet-ups listed in Nearby are created by independent users or organisations. They are not organised, supervised, vetted or insured by Curriculum Compass unless we explicitly say so. Parents decide whether an activity is appropriate and remain responsible for supervision.
Reporting
Use the Report action on any listing, post, group or review. Reporter identity is never shown publicly.
Enforcement and appeals
Breaches are handled under the three enforcement levels in the Acceptable Use Policy, with the same 14-day appeal window. Repeated abuse leads to suspension and, for serious cases, termination.
