In plain English: AI helps you plan, suggest and organise. It does not decide whether your learning is compliant, complete or accurate — that stays with you.
Where AI is used
AI may assist with curriculum discovery and search summaries, comparison, weekly and daily planning, mission and project ideas, age-appropriate simplification of instructions, printable guides, and recommendations.
What AI assists with
- Planning — drafting a week, suggesting a sequence, reshaping a plan when you ask for something lighter or more outdoor-based.
- Suggestions — surfacing resources, activities and comparisons worth considering.
- Organisation — summarising, grouping and tidying information you already have.
What AI does not guarantee
AI output does not guarantee legal or regulatory compliance, educational outcomes, curriculum completion, academic accuracy, or coverage of any framework or standard. It is not legal, educational, medical or psychological advice.
Parents remain responsible for supervising learning, reviewing every AI-generated plan or instruction before use, and deciding what is suitable for their child.
Accuracy and review
AI output may contain errors or be out of date. Not every search result is manually reviewed — some come directly from public websites indexed automatically. Where sources disagree, we label the information as conflicting rather than choosing for you.
Child safety in AI output
When AI simplifies instructions for a child, required safety guidance and supervision notes are preserved and never removed. Child-facing AI features are restricted and parent-controlled.
Data sent to AI services
Content you submit to an AI feature is sent to our AI provider to generate the output, as described in the Privacy Policy. Avoid including sensitive personal details in prompts or uploads.
How information is labelled
We distinguish sources rather than showing a single "verified" badge:
- Curriculum Compass reviewed — checked by our editorial process.
- Provider claim — supplied by the provider.
- Official provider website — read from the provider's own site.
- Newly discovered web information — found through automated search and not yet reviewed.
- AI-generated summary — written by AI from the sources above.
- Not yet verified — no review has been completed.
- Conflicting information — sources disagree.
