How we look after your family's information
Tivoraly supports your homeschool — it doesn't replace your judgement. Here's exactly what we do, what we don't do, and the controls you have.
You remain the educator.
We provide information, comparisons and planning tools. We are not a school or registered education provider, we don't assess or certify learning, and we don't give legal, educational, medical or compliance advice. Registration, reporting and supervision remain your responsibility.
Child privacy by design
Learner profiles use a first name or nickname and an age only. We don't ask for full names, addresses, schools or photos of children, and learner data is never sold or used for advertising.
Child Privacy Notice →AI transparency
AI helps summarise and draft. It can be wrong. Every AI-assisted result is labelled, sources are distinguished, and nothing AI-generated is presented as verified fact.
AI Transparency Policy →Independent listings
We are not affiliated with the providers we list and a listing is never an endorsement. Sponsored placement, when it exists, is always labelled.
Provider & External Content Policy →Community safety
Nearby listings show general areas, not exact addresses. Meeting other families is real-world activity you organise and supervise — we don't vet groups, venues or individuals.
Community Guidelines →How to read our information labels
Every piece of curriculum information carries one of these labels so you know how much weight to give it.
Editor reviewed
Checked by a Tivoraly editor against primary sources.
Provider claim
Supplied by the provider and not independently verified.
Indexed from the web
Automatically collected from a public page. May be out of date.
AI generated
Drafted by AI to help you compare. Always confirm before you rely on it.
Export your family's data
Download everything on your account — profile, learners, saved curriculum, plans, projects and evidence — from your account settings.
Go to account settings →Delete a learner or your account
Remove an individual learner at any time, or close the whole account. Deletion is scheduled and then permanent — records kept for legal reasons are listed below.
Manage deletion →What we keep, and for how long
| Information | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Active account data | Being confirmed | Providing the service while the account is open. |
| Deleted account records | Being confirmed | Fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal obligations. |
| Security logs | Being confirmed | Account security and abuse investigation. |
| Billing records | Being confirmed | Tax, accounting and dispute obligations. |
| Policy acceptance records | Being confirmed | Evidence of agreement. |
| Child learning evidence | Being confirmed | Providing the learning portfolio to the family. |
| Moderation reports | Being confirmed | Trust and safety, repeat-behaviour detection. |
| Copyright complaints | Being confirmed | Legal record of infringement claims. |
Where a period says "being confirmed", we are finalising it with our legal advisers. Ask us any time and we'll tell you what we currently hold.
Report something
Use the report link on any listing, group or post. You don't need an account to report a safety concern.
Enforcement and appeals
Three levels: a correction, a breach, and a serious violation. Serious decisions can be appealed within 14 days.
Acceptable Use Policy →Account security
One active session per account, PIN-protected child mode, and a device list you control.
State information, and its limits
For families in the United States, each state hub summarises information published by that state's own education authority. Every summary names its source, links to the official page and shows the date we last checked it. A state only appears once that check has been done.
These summaries are written by our editorial team, not generated by AI, and they are not legal advice. Requirements change, and only the official authority speaks for your state — always confirm there before you file, test or report. Your homeschool records stay private to your family: they are never shared with any authority, group or other member.
